Today, there seem to be so many alternative ideas to the traditional guestbook making it incredibly easy to be creative. One idea that I personally love is one I saw just a couple years ago at my cousin’s wedding. What she did was place small, smooth rocks at each of her guests’ tables. With silver permanent markers, each guest wrote inspirational messages for the bride and groom on the rocks –nothing much, just something short and sweet. These stones were then compiled together and put into a glass vase, serving as a lasting memento and a piece of décor for their home. This idea really got me thinking of how brides and grooms can push the limits of traditional guestbooks and come up with fun and unique approaches to guestbooks!

Some popular ideas include signing photo frames, quilts, or ceramic plates. Other ideas may relate to the interests of the bride and groom or the theme of their wedding. If you and your groom are avid fans of a particular sports team, have your wedding guests sign the back of a jersey! Other ideas include signing vintage records from your favorite band or signing the bottle of champagne you drank at your wedding! You could jazz up your traditional guestbook by making it more of a scrapbook with pictures from your big day. If you and your groom are really the creative type, try this: bring in a canvas with a drawn on grid, and have each guest paint a square of the canvas! This will leave you with a beautifully unique piece of art that will forever remind you of your wedding day and the friends and family that made it so special. There are so many different ways to make your guestbook a little more personalized, so get creative and have some fun!
