Aside from all the love, excitement, and utter happiness you feel, what is the best part about getting engaged? Showing off that ring of course! Here is one trend in engagement rings that I absolutely adore and is sure to leave your friends and family wide-eyed!

Engagement rings are stunning no matter what. But have you ever thought about wearing a ring adorning more than just your standard diamond? Engagement rings with colored stones may not be for everyone, but they are definitely something worth considering. With a burst of color, how could anyone miss it?! A few popular alternatives to your classic diamond include canary yellow diamonds, sapphires, amethysts, rubies, and topazes. So why not get your engagement ring in your favorite color—or better yet, your engagement ring could be the birthstone of you or your fiancé. This makes it even more personalized and meaningful to you. You could even choose a colored stone that corresponds with either the month that he proposes, or the month you plan on getting married.

If you are still a sucker for diamonds, get a diamond encrusted wedding band to compliment your colored engagement ring. Or, have the diamond be the centerpiece with accent colored stones around it. You could even have your engagement ring be a classic diamond and instead, add the color to your wedding band!

Either way, different colored stones can add some personality, interest, and beauty to your wedding rings, making it even more fun to show off your bling! For some more engagement ring fun, you can check out our friends at Jones Bros Jewelers.
