To get more creative, add pinecones or seashells depending on the season. Another tasty trend is garnishing your cake with a fruit and berry arrangement. Add a twist to the traditional cake topper by placing two birds or two butterflies in place of a bride and groom! Why not top off your cake with a top hat?! This makes for a fun and whimsical, yet still very charming look.

Of course, not all cakes need a fancy topper, and sometimes simple is better. Some couples choose to put their monogram right on the cake and leave the top untouched. Whatever you decide, the most important thing will most likely be the taste! After all, who doesn’t love cake?!
