Everyone knows the saying…but finding something old, new, borrowed, and blue can be challenging. Hopefully this doesn't discourage you from keeping up this adorable tradition that allows you to have some fun and be creative! Here are just a few ideas for that fourth piece to the classic saying. The fun part about the “something blue” is that it allows you to add a splash of color in a variety of places. If you really want to make a statement, wear a bright blue flower, bow, or barrette in your hair. Another fun blue accent is sporting some stylish blue heels on your big day. Get your groom in on this tradition, and have him sport matching blue socks! This makes for super cute shoe shots and pictures. If you are really a funky girl, wear a pretty shade of blue eye shadow, or a statement piece of jewelry. If you prefer just a subtle accent of blue, wear simple blue stud earrings, or a blue ankle bracelet that will, for the most part, be hidden by your dress. If you are sporting peep toe shoes, paint your toenails blue! This is probably my favorite idea... it is subtle yet fun! Blue flowers can also be incorporated into your bouquet, along with blue ribbon. If you already have your shoes, jewelry, and flowers picked out, no worries! A simple and easy way to add some last minute blue is to have your bridal party sign the bottom of your shoes with a blue pen. This way, you incorporate your “something blue” and you will forever have friendly remarks to look back on from your special day. So have some fun with this tradition, and don’t be afraid to make a statement with the color blue!
